Sizing Chart
As a general rule, 90% of cats need a Medium Size (M-L)
To ensure the best fit, measure the girth of your cat, around the ribcage.
Size Chart:
- (KITTEN) - girth is between 7-11in (18-28cm)
- (M-L) - between 11-20in (28-51cm)
- (XL) - more than 20in (+51cm)
Kittens under 1 year of age will generally use the kitten size and only very large cats like Maine Coons or obese cats will need the XL.

ESCAPE PROOF CAT HARNESS
Cats are escape artists and can get out of almost any harness if they want to. A combination of skill and a good harness are key to successfully keep your cat safe.
The Houdini harness by OutdoorBengal has an escape-proof system that makes it more difficult for the cat to escape by pulling backward, which is the most common way in which cats escape from their harnesses.
There are 3 things you can do to stop cat from escaping a harness:
- Use a harness that your cat is comfortable wearing.
- Prevent your cat from pulling backward and keep the leash always pulling towards the cat's tail, within the "SAFE ZONE" range.
- Train your cat to walk on a leash so that they don't find the need to escape.

What happens if my cat fights hard against the harness, will it stay on?
The harness is designed to stay on, but a cat displaying that kind of behavior is a cat that's developed sensitivity against the harness, and counterconditioning is needed.
1) Get a harness that's light and flexible like this one, so that your cat is comfortable wearing it.
2) Let your cat impregnate the harness with their pheromones by placing it in areas where they sleep.
3) Put the harness on for short periods of time and offer food and playtime.
4) Train your cat to wear the harness and the leash indoors before going outdoors.
5) Start outdoor adventures in quiet places and make sure they are short and sweet.
If your cat continues to fight against the harness, discontinue its use. Give your cat some time out and try again another day.
Can I use this harness to tether my cat?
No. The Houdini™ harness has been designed for walking cats safely. Its escape-proof mechanism tightens around the neck if a cat tries to escape.
This safety feature is crucial to avoid escapes, but can be dangerous if the cat is left unattended.

Is this Harness only for Bengal cats?
This harness was designed for all cats, but the name of the brand was inspired by my cat Mia, a bengal cat. The harness fits and works the exact same on any cat breed.
Is it hard to train a cat to walk on a leash?
Every cat can learn to walk on a leash. The time it takes for them to thrive outdoors varies depending on factors like age, socialization, and personality.

If your cat is overweight, make sure to measure the girth of your cat and ensure that the size you choose is the right fit.
The Large harness (L size) has been reinforced to support the weight and strength of a larger cat.

How easy is to put on the harness on a cat?
