Sizing Chart
As a general rule, 90% of cats need a Medium Size (M-L)
To ensure the best fit, measure the girth of your cat, around the ribcage.
Size Chart:
- (KITTEN) - girth is between 7-11in (18-28cm)
- (M-L) - between 11-20in (28-51cm)
- (XL) - more than 20in (+51cm)
Kittens under 1 year of age will generally use the kitten size and only very large cats like Maine Coons or obese cats will need the XL.

MARTINGALE CAT HARNESS
Cats are escape artists and can get out of almost any harness if they want to. A combination of skill and a good harness is key to keeping your cat safe.
The Always On cat harness by OutdoorBengal features a martingale system that makes it harder for the cat to pull backward, the most common way cats escape from their harnesses.
There are 3 things you can do to stop a cat from escaping a harness:
- Use a harness that your cat is comfortable wearing.
- Prevent your cat from pulling backward and keep the leash consistently tugging toward the cat's tail within the "SAFE ZONE" range.
- Train your cat to walk on a leash so that they don't find the need to escape.

What's the difference between the Always On™ and the Houdini™?
The Houdini™ is the staple harness; it’s super secure, comfortable, and has been refined about 10 times since I first designed it. It’s a trusted design that cats love wearing and can’t escape from (very hard to).
The Houdini™, however, has a dangling part that can be uncomfortable for the cat if the harness is on and not attached to a leash. That’s where the Always On™ comes into play. It has a different escape-resistant mechanism that makes it hard for cats to escape — no dangling parts.

Can I use this harness to tether my cat?
No. The Houdini™ harness has been designed for walking cats safely. Its escape-proof mechanism tightens around the neck if a cat tries to escape.
This safety feature is crucial to avoid escapes, but can be dangerous if the cat is left unattended.
Never leave your cat alone while wearing a Houdini™ harness.
Is this Harness only for Bengal cats?
This harness was designed for all cats, but the name of the brand was inspired by my cat Mia, a bengal cat. The harness fits and works the exact same on any cat breed.
Is it hard to train a cat to walk on a leash?
Every cat can learn to walk on a leash. The time it takes for them to thrive outdoors varies depending on factors like age, socialization, and personality.

Will this harness work on a kitten?
Yes, the S size has been specifically designed for kittens. Check your cat's girth to know what size will offer the best fit for your kitten.
Is this a good harness for large cats?
This harness is very light, for cats that are starting and cats that need more freedom and confort.
If your cat is overweight, make sure to measure the girth of your cat and ensure that the size you choose is the right fit.
The Large harness (L size) has been reinforced to support the weight and strength of a larger cat.
Does the cat harness come with a leash?
Yes, the escape-proof cat harness comes with a 6ft long leash.
How easy is to put on the harness on a cat?
Putting the Outdoor Bengal cat harness on your furry friend will be easy.
There are 2 ways to go about it:
- Teach your cat to sit and stay, then put the harness on.
- Holding the cat between your ribs and your elbow sitting on a sofa and using your free hands to put the harness on.
