Houdini™ Escape-Proof Cat Harness

Amazing harness. I’ve never had an issue with my bengal escaping. It’s comfortable and the multi color option is really nice. I was so excited when I ordered it. It’s my third harness. I have a black, blue, and multi color.

The older Houdini's we have had a longer bit of fabric from the round metal ring to the plastic clasp. The new version has a shorter distance to the plastic clasp. This means the inflexible part of the fabric is much longer across the shoulder blades compared to the old style which had the clasps lower behind their shoulder blades.

Still a very good harness, but my cats prefer the older style.

The Houdini Harness has been a great fit for our adventurous boy. Zavi loves getting out and exploring, and the harness feels secure without restricting his movement. It sits comfortably around him, gives us good control on the lead and, most importantly, feels much harder for a determined cat to wriggle out of than some of the other harnesses we’ve tried.

It’s easy to put on, and Zavi is completely comfortable walking, and investigating everything in sight while wearing it.

I have to cats, two male Bengals, bought as kitten. They love their Houdini™ Escape Proof Cat Harnesses and are walking outside in the garden with us.

My kitty walks all over the backyard with it. He really got use to it quickly. It helps to be able to take him out of the house and be able to explore outside of it. He is also able to chase lizards :) Thank you!

After lots of research we ended up getting this harness. It’s been great! Our main priority was security and for as long as your cat is appropriately harness trained, I don’t see anyone wiggling out of this one. Also lightweight for our cat to wear, easy to put on and off as well as adjustable. Ticks all our boxes.

This product is absolutely amazing! We have six month old bengals and bought 4 different brands of harnesses and none of them fit. The Houdini harness is an escape proof product and it really works. I felt so much peace of mind knowing my kitties are safer now on all of our grand adventures. Lightweight and comfortable, this harness works even for the finickiest of felines. Bao adjusted easily after a few token escape attempts, boy is fueled by spite (mother is so proud), and graduated from a sad army crawl to scaling the kitchen cabinets in an afternoon.
Well made and sturdy, Houdini can withstand blunt force trauma, rug burn, the eight-toe power kick combo, and other miscellaneous acts of violence committed by a supersized hobgoblin.
All in all, Houdini has given me confidence in Bao’s safety, security, and comfort. We’ve now accumulated a good amount of products from Outdoor Bengal and will continue to do so. Keep it up, man, and I can’t wait for the car bed!

I love this harness for my Savannah cat. He had an indent with a dog approaching too fast. He backed up and hit the end of the leash reversing faster then I could scoop him up. I was so scared I was going to loose him for sure but it gave me just enough time to get ahold of him and get him to safety! This harness is AWESOME! In totally eyeballing the Always on now though cause the hanging piece on this one when the leash is off can get clunky.

My cat is not too crazy about she tolerates it for about 10 minutes.

It fits very well and it is pretty light, Akinori didn’t try to take it off so I suppose is comfortable, it doesn’t bother him when he moves. I am very pleased with this acquisition. Thank you so much!

I purchased this off of Amazon after looking through many harnesses. As a former pet sitter I've used my share of harnesses and I also tried a more restrictive type my neighbor had on hand. For cats it seems less is more with small straps so the cat feels like they can move but also be secure enough so they can't slide or wiggle out. I noticed the Houdini harness has presher points on the shoulders and not the neck and the tightening mechanism is unlikely to harm if your cat starts to flail and pull. It's important to supervise any animal in a harness or leash but especially as my cat is getting used to their environment some startles have happened and the Houdini harness has stayed on and I just had to calm my cat and losen the harness and keep going. I did get an extra long leash that lets my cat roam further and gives me more control with length. The only change I would make would be to replace the small plastic clips with metal spring O rings so it would be easier and faster to put the harness on and get off without losing security.

I’ve had the Houdini Harness for a couple of weeks now and my kitty loves it! It fits very well and is easy to adjust, it feels secure without being overbearing/bulky. I got the regular size for my 4 month old kitty (11”) and it fits perfectly with plenty of room to grow.

I am very pleased with our Outdoor Bengal harnesses. They offer an ideal balance of safety and freedom for our cats. I had previously purchased three other harnesses from different companies, but they were too restrictive and prevented the cats from moving comfortably. Outdoor Bengal harnesses provide both comfort and security. We are truly delighted with this product.

I did a lot of research on cat harnesses for my first cat, and eventually landed on the Petsafe harness because it was the most minimal for the cat while still not harming them if the cat tried to bolt. It wasn't perfect though, mostly because it would loosen up really easily. Well, this harness takes what was good about the Petsafe harness and makes it better!! There is ample ribcage support (rather than two straps that meet in the middle) and a cinch that prevents the collar part from loosening! I've actually found that my new kitten feels more at ease outside with the harness on, as opposed to being outside without a harness. We are both happy catventurers!!

So I have to mention I ordered 2 (black and turquoise) but received the red and turquoise instead. So far I haven't had any problems with the leash hurting my kitty when he decides to bolt or climb trees or back away from me. He stays secure and safe as advertised.

My cat Bob decided one day to open the slider and go out, luckily i saw him and got him before he disappeared. He kept trying to escape tho so being a good cat mom i bought him a cat popup tent with tunnels… it was ok but one windy day it rolled over with him in it and that was it for Bob. I was on Amazon then looking for Cat harnesses as long ago i had a small dog one for my cat Kermit( they didnt make cat ones then) i found the Houdini harness and gave it a try…
Bob loves it. Easy on but escape proof, they cant back up put of it or hang up on anything.
I liked it so much i bought him two one in Orange so he is colorful lol.
He loves to be outback with me on his Houdini harness.
Bob has a new “Leash” on life now

We love our Kitten harness for short trips outdoors and longer adventures! Much more comfortable for her to ambulate normally compared to the bulkier harnesses available, and I feel comfortable that she’s secure. We’ve already invested in the M-L!

While no harness is Houdini proof, this harness is as Houdini resistant as it gets.
